Making Sacred Hand Drums with Luke McLaughlin

November 29 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

You have the right to be heard. What better way to use your voice and open your ears than to learn how to make your own hand drum. In this three hour class, we will be using locally sourced, rawhide deer skin and cedar drum frames to create our own sacred hand drum. This drum will be perfect for ceremony as well as a beautiful piece of art for your home. We will be making our drum in the Anishinaabe (Great Lakes Region) tradition.

$75-150, rawhide and wood included.

Luke McLaughlin is a naturalist, rewilder and founder of Holistic Survival School located in Weaverville, NC. Luke believes that it is every human’s birthright to have a deep physical, emotional, and spiritual connection to our Earth, and he has dedicated himself to being a bridge to our modern culture. Luke demonstrated his primitive skills and survival abilities on the Discovery Channel’s shows, “Naked and Afraid” and “Naked and Afraid XL”.

Please pre-register in the shop (278 Haywood Rd) or on the website.
