Polk County Office of Agricultural Economic Development and Polk County Farm Bureau are pleased to invite you to our monthly Friends of Agriculture Breakfast on Wednesday, April 19th! Each Friends of Agriculture Breakfast features a delicious, hearty breakfast and a speaker on areas of interest to our community of farmers, gardeners, and food enthusiasts. This is a free event held at the 4-H Building, 135 Locust St., in Columbus, NC.

Interested in growing ginger? Hops? Truffles? Or another specialty crop? Then join us for a presentation on “Hot New Crops: Should You Grow Them?” from Jeanine Davis, Associate Professor and Extension Specialist with NC State University!

Don’t forget our community members in need! Donations of canned foods will be collected at this event to benefit the clients of Thermal Belt Outreach Ministries.
