Guide to Compliance with N.C.G.S. § 66-255 For Farmers Market Managers and Vendors

Gaining Ground Farm & Shopper

Yesterday we wrote a post about the new N.C.G.S. § 66-255  legislation that, as it currently stands, will impact all North Carolina farmers markets and farmers market vendors. In keeping with our promise to give you more information as it becomes available, we have created a Guide to Compliance with N.C.G.S. § 66-255 For Farmers Market Managers and Vendors detailing the specific requirements farmers market vendors and farmers market managers are being asked to comply with.

ASAP will continue to monitor this issue. We believe this legislation will harm farmers, farmers markets, and decrease access to fresh, healthy locally-grown food in North Carolina. We are exploring options for addressing this issue but for now are providing you with the best information that we have on how to comply.
