Tailgate Market Season Winds Down

Carrots, Beets, Radishes

It’s fall, and that means your favorite tailgate market will likely be closing for the winter season soon. Below is a list of closing dates for all markets, and dates and locations for holiday markets. Not all locations will have winter or holiday markets. Some dates and locations have yet to be determined, so contact specific markets (listing on appalachiangrown.org) for more information. Don’t miss the last markets of the season!

Bakersville Farmers Market Oct. Holiday Market Nov. 25 2-5:30 pm inside Historic Court House at 226 and N. Mitchell Ave. Winter Markets Dec. 13, Jan. 10, Feb. 14, March 14, April 11 and May 9 from 10 am to 2 pm.
Black Mountain Tailgate Market Oct. 25 Nov. 22 at the same location from 10 am to 1 pm.
East Asheville Tailgate Market Sept. 26 None
Flat Rock Farmers Market  Oct. 30 AutumnFest, an indoor craft fair and farmers market is Nov. 6 at Highland Lake Inn and Resort, 3 pm- 6 pm. There will be holiday crafts and farmers winter fare at the Winter Holiday Event Dec. 4 from 3 pm to 6 pm behind Little Rainbow Row in Flat Rock.

Madison County Farmers & Artisans Market Oct. 25 Holiday Market Saturdays Nov. 22 through Dec. 20 from 10 am to 2 pm at the regular outdoor location on Hwy. 213. Fresh Atlantic Seafood will set up every Saturday next to Subway, across from Mars Hill Exxon, from 11 am to 6 pm.
Mills River Farmers Market Nov. 22 Nov. 22 market will include holiday vendors at the same location.
North Asheville Tailgate Market Nov. 22 Holiday bazaar Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13 and 20, from noon to 3. Woodfin YMCA winter market starts Jan. 10 from 10 am to 12:30 pm at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church at Gracelyn and Merrimon Ave.
