Chef Marti Mongiello at Mountain Harvest Kitchen

Join us for an evening celebrating Scottish Heritage Cuisine at the Mountain Harvest Kitchen in the beautiful mountains of Unicoi, TN with Chef Marti and Chef Stormy Mongiello.
In this fun demonstration we’ll learn to make the traditional cock-a-leekie soup. Along the way they will share their stories of cooking for presidents, world leaders, and other renowned guests around the world.
Come with us as we travel with the White House Chefs to Scotland for a taste of Appalachian history!
About the Instructors:
Chef Marti Mongiello, former White House Chef of the White House Military Office, has worked with the last five Presidents of the United States. His service at Camp David, in the White House, and posts at numerous war zones allowed him to serve distinguished guests from all over the world from Steve Jobs to Prime Minister Hashimoto of Japan. After 21 years in the US Navy, Marti has retired from service and is now an advocate for veterans’ issues.
Chef Stormy Neal is also a military veteran with a vast experience cooking and serving audiences around the world. She is a Licensed Executive Chef in charge of the kitchens at The Inn of the Patriots, the Bed and Breakfast and Presidential Culinary Museum the pair runs in Grover, NC.
Together Chef Marti and Chef Stormy have taught thousands of students cooking skills and enjoy sharing their passion for cooking, history, and storytelling with their audiences.
