Cooking with Herbs

Get inspired to experiment with adding herbs to your daily diet in all sorts of fun ways. Not only do herbs add flavor and taste, they also increase nutrient density and support healing in the body. We’ll discuss the calendar of herbs coming into season around us which provides a simple, accessible, diverse, and abundant way to engage with the plants. We’ll be working with wild, cultivated, and store bought plants. You’ll leave with recipes for creating your own kitchen magic! We’ll cover preparing:

  • Herbal salads: Incorporate herbs into and onto salads as chopped additions, as flower garnish, and blended into the dressing.
  • Herbal pestos: Enjoy a never ending variety of herbal pestos all year long. The ingredients can vary for a delicious outcome every time.
  • Herbal soups: Whether starting from broth that includes herbs or after the soup is made, herbs are a delightful addition to nourishing soups.
  • Herbal desserts: Easy and fun, adding herbs into desserts such as herbal chocolates, chamomile cream over summer berries and herbal popsicles all add a great health excuse for your sweet tooth.

Appropriate for all levels of skill, designed to get the herbs you may know and love onto your plate and introduce you to some new delicious additions.
