Farm Dinner: Abruzzo, Italy to Celo, NC : A convergence of mountain cuisine at Green Toe Ground farm

An evening of celebration of food and roots at Green Toe Ground farm in South Toe featuring chef Dan Williams of Rocket Surgery in Travelers Rest, SC and Ashley Capps of Buxton Hall BBQ. Dan’s mothers family traces her roots to Abruzzo, Italy. Dan grew up learning the cuisine while landed in the bounty of Appalachian foods. Joining the event is Ashley Capps a James Beard semi finalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef. The dinner will be Sunday September 29th, 6pm at Green Toe Ground farm. Farmers Gaelan Corozine and Nicole DelCogliano have hosted farm dinners for 10 years on their biodynamic farm in the South Toe Valley, Burnsville, NC. They sell at the Asheville City Market and North Asheville Tailgate market and regional restaurants, such as Rhubarb, Smoky Park Supper Club and Benne.
