NC Foothills Farm Tour: Belflower Farm and Colfax Creek Farm

October 23 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

One of our favorite aspects of visiting a farm is getting to spend some time with the farmers themselves, and really getting a close-up view of how their farm operations work. It’s all about the community connections we make.

And so for 2021, we are offering more intimate farm tour options. Once a month, throughout June-October we will be hosting a day of activities with a farm tour in the morning and another farm tour in the afternoon.

We recommend that you turn the event into a whole day with lunch out at a local restaurant, and maybe even a visit to a local winery to round the day out.

*Please note that tours will start right at the start time listed for each farm stop*

October 23 Farm Stops:

Belflower farm tour from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm:

Nestled in the foothills of the South Mountains in the beautiful community of Sunshine, Belflower Farm focuses on converting sunshine to healthy beef and lamb. Come see our livestock and learn how we rotationally graze our pastures to improve the water cycle and soil health on our farm.

We plan to hike around the farm and rotate the cows and sheep during the tour so that you can see firsthand the most fun part of raising grass-fed sheep and cows. We will have beef and lamb for sale at the end of the tour, so please bring insulated bags or a cooler and some cash if you are interested in bringing home some healthy protein. Looking forward to seeing you this fall!

Colfax Creek farm tour from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm:

Colfax Creek Farm is owned and operated across Polk and Rutherford counties by Nicole and Aaron Bradley.

At this farm, we raise the finest 100% grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and pasture-raised poultry all while focusing on producing healthy foods, raising happy animals, and caring for our land.

We invite you to experience our farm with a fun and educational walking tour to see the cows, pigs, and chickens and how they are raised.

End the day by joining us at our Fall Festival!
