Regional Farm Transition Planning Workshop

N.C. Cooperative Extension – Henderson County Center, in partnership with NC State University, WNC FarmLink, and Sugar Hollow Realty, is hosting a Regional Farm Transition Planning workshop at the Mountain Crops Research and Extension Center in Mills River.

Speakers include Dr. Guido van der Hoeven, NC State University; Suzanna Denison, WNC FarmLink; and William Hamilton of Sugar Hollow Realty. Participants will learn about mistakes to avoid in farm transition and estate planning, options for leasing land to beginning farmers, and how tools like conservation easements can be utilized.

The cost for this workshop is $20 and includes lunch and resource materials. Registration begins at 8:30am, with the full workshop taking place from 9am – 2pm.
