Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture is excited to invite you to Scaling Up: Farmer Training to Improve Supply Chain!

Held on February 9th at the Watauga Agricultural Center from 9 AM – 3:30 PM, Scaling Up will increase producers’ capacity and to scale up to new markets.

Sessions will focus on building collaborations across the food chain, food quality and food safety, marketing local food, and recordkeeping and business planning.


  • Keynote: Determining Market Channels w/ Matt LeRoux (Cornell Cooperative Extension)

  • Locally-sourced Lunch and Resource Fair

  • Breakout Sessions on Pricing Meat Products, Building Efficiency, Quality, & Resiliency in Vegetable Production, and Untangling Food Safety Regulations and Best Practices for Commercial Kitchens

  • Roundtable on the National Food Hub Landscape
