Tailgate Market Road Trip: Historic Marion Tailgate Market

Historic Marion Tailgate Market

In this month’s installment of our “Road Trip” series, we head east to the Historic Marion Tailgate Market—McDowell County’s only farmers market. As the winter season approaches, the The Historic Marion Tailgate Market moves inside the Marion Depot, 58 Depot Street, taking place every Tuesday afternoon though December 11, from 3:00 pm–5:30 pm.

Some of the wonderful Appalachian Grown products you’ll be able to find at the Historic Marion Tailgate Market this time of year include: honey, apples, sweet potatoes, jams, wreaths as well as baked goods, crafts, body care products, and much more!

No cash is not a reason to miss this market! The Historic Marion Tailgate Market accepts cards; Credit, Debit and EBT.  The market also offers a “Double Bucks” program for SNAP/EBT receiving market shoppers. Simply by purchasing market tokens with your SNAP/EBT card, you can double your purchase with up to $10 in matching Market Fresh Bucks to be spent on fresh, seasonal items.
