Winter tailgate farmers markets are busy, busy! Market-goers tell us that you can find turnips, apples, sweet potatoes, cabbage, collards, and spring onions. We have also heard about a rainbow of carrots, including orange, yellow, and purple!

Despite snow on the ground, shoppers are getting out to winter farmers tailgate markets! Word on the street is that if you want to get kale, you need to get there early as produce vendors are selling out fast! In addition to kale, look for turnips, carrots, Kohlrabi, sweet potatoes, Daikon radishes, winter squash, baked goods, meats, cheeses, eggs, body care products, and more.

It’s like spring in the winter! Not necessarily for temperatures, but certainly if you’re shopping at winter farmers tailgate markets. Lettuce, kale, turnips, winter squash, and Daikon radishes were all spotted at markets this weekend.
